Karaage Chicken
with Sweet & Sour Sauce

  • Chicken thigh, cut into pieces200 g
  • Salt1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper, ground1/4 tsp
  • Ginger, grated2 tsp
  • Light soy sauce2 tsp
  • Tempura flour1/4 cup
  • for frying Oil

    Sweet Sour Stir-fry Sauce
    100 ml
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved4-6
  • Pineapple, cut into pieces1/4 cup
  • for garnish Sliced spring onion, toasted sesame


  • Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, ginger and
    soy sauce for 1 hour.
  • Toss the chicken with tempura flour to coat.
    Deep-fry the chicken in hot oil until golden brown.
  • Heat sweet sour sauce until boil, add tomatoes,
    pineapple and fried chicken. Stir to mix.
  • Garnish with spring onion, sesame and serve.
